The barn area. Three buildings and four corrals, newly fenced and with water.

Branding and vaccination time in the corrals.
We have used the corral areas to board horses and cattle. Right now we're hosting 60 longhorn cows that are calving next year's rodeo stock, and 25 yearlings. During the actual calving time the owners stays with the critters (RV above). Lights, power and water are available throughout. There are 5 separate corrals and could be 6. There are three barns:
  • 24'X 140'   Long Barn
  • 24'X 48'     Lambing shed
  • 27'X 45'     Shearing shed
The newer long barn was apparently designed for cattle. The sheds haven't held sheep for a long time but retain the names.

24'X 140' Long barn
The long barn is separated into several large stalls, apparently built for cattle. A cowboy actually lived in the near end of it, where there was heat, lights, water and even a TV antenna. We just use it for storage.

The owner of the longhorns puts, for a few days, the new moms and their fresh deliveries in the stalls of this and the shearing shed.

There are 2 other outbuildings: The garage/guest facility and garden shed—shown on their respective pages.
